Plot twist: Santa Cruz never ran out of power. @PGE4Me initially said Wednesday morning, then 12pm, then 4pm, then 6pm, then 8pm. But there is still power. The only thing PGE did was waste the entire county’s time for nothing.

@latimes @PGE4Me There is no wind, high temps or high fire danger in Santa Cruz County. There is actually higher fire danger & environmental impact from generators running around the county. There also increased traffic driving to Santa Cruz for gas for generators. Turn the power back on.

Hat tip to @pge4me; I was able to download all nine years of my house's electricity usage (at 15 minute intervals) to a simple CSV file with the Green Button. They even have some sort of third party API support for ongoing data monitoring.
