What Is A Money Market Account
A Money Market Account is a type of savings account (or deposit account) that bares dividends and can grow over time. But unlike a savings account, checking debits, like ATM purchases & checks, can be made from a money market account without penalty. There are limits to this as there are monthly transaction limits and minimum balances that must be adhered to. Funds inside a money market account are NCUA insured (up to $250,000) so you will receive the same protections you would have if you placed these funds in a traditional savings account.
